Rescue 280 now 2840**


Our 2007 Ford Expedition 4x4 was first placed in service in August 2018 and used for medical first response calls.

Engine 281 now 2831**
Our 2001 HME (Hendrickson Mobile Equipment) Custom Cab engine is equipped with a 1,250 gallon per minute Darley Pump and a 1,000 gallon booster tank.

Engine/Rescue 282 now 2832**
Our 2007 Freightliner/Rosenbauer engine is equipped with a 1,250 gallon per minute pump and a 1,000 gallon booster tank with foam capabilities.  This engine carries motor vehicle accident automobile extrication tools.


Chief and Assistant Chief Vehicles
These 4x4 vehicles are assigned to each our Chief and Assistant Chief enabling each to respond to medical and fire calls directly from their homes resulting in a quicker response time when seconds count.

Assistant Chief Vehicle  288
2010 Ford Expedition 4x4 was placed in service in Spring 2018.

Chief (Command) Vehicle  289
2023 Chevrolet Tahoe SST 4x4 was placed in service in May 2023.
The purchase of this Command Vehicle was made possible and funded entirely through a private donor grant without any taxpayer monies.


2850 - Wildland Fire-Search-Rescue UTV and Trailer

Our newest apparatus is a specialized 2021 Polaris Ranger Crew XP-1000 UTV vehicle and enclosed trailer. Assigned 2850 as it vehicle number, the UTV was dedicated on January 19, 2022. The purchase of the UTV and the enclosed trailer was made possible and funded entirely through a grant without any taxpayer monies.

**During the fall of 2021, Schenectady County Emergency Management updated all county wide Fire-EMS vehicle numbering as is reflected above.
